Using Contraceptives to Control the Population Growth - Free Essay Example
Contraceptive will have a big help to lessen the population growth, because it reduces the need for abortion by preventing unwanted pregnancies. Thereââ¬â¢s a lot of Filipinos who doesnââ¬â¢t agree in using contraceptives specially the catholic church because they believed that contraception have the ability to prevent to fertilized the egg, or to kill the fertilized egg shortly which means to kill. Theyââ¬â¢ve said that the 5th number in 10 commandments is ââ¬Å"Thou shalt not kill. â⬠Although some or most of the Filipinos and the government as well agree in using contraceptives because unfertilized egg still donââ¬â¢t have life and it will help to prevent unwanted pregnancies specially in teenagers who doesnââ¬â¢t even know what family planning is. The Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012 (Republic Act No.1035), informally known as the Reproductive Health Law or RH Law, is a law in the Philippines, which guarantees universal access to methods on contraception, fertility control, sexual education, and maternal care. ââ¬Å"There is general agreement about its provisions on maternal and child health, there is great debate on its mandate that the Philippine government and the private sector will fund and undertake widespread distribution of family planning devices such as condoms, birth control pills, and IUDs, as the government continues to disseminate information on their use through all health care centersâ⬠it is said in Wikipedia. In my own perception using contraceptives have a lot of benefits especially to the partners who are not yet ready to have their own family. We need to first understand the purpose of birth control. Although people choose to use contraception for their own reasons. The purp ose of birth control is still the same. Contraception will help you to prevent pregnancy. The use of contraception helps you to know how many children you may want to have and the timing of your pregnancies. Based on the articles that Iââ¬â¢ve researched about contraception, it isnââ¬â¢t wrong perhaps it has benefits for a partner who is not financially stable and cannot provide for their own family. Let us all think if using contraceptive is illegal here in the Philippines, what would be the life of that child?
